Adders win was sweet revenge – now it's Nuneaton!

IT'S tough to write this because I am still buzzing over the win we had on Tuesday night and it's difficult to put it into words!

I would go as far as to say it was probably among the best performances and games to be a part of since I've been at the club.

It was a great night and we were by far the better side – it was just one of those nights to remember for a long, long time.

We had been playing well and creating chances for a while so we knew someone would eventually be on the end of a hiding and that's what happened.

They rubbed our noses in it after beating us twice but we certainly got our own back and we were doing some singing in the dressing room afterwards!

We stood up to them, matched them physically and then our class shone through.

It meant a lot to both sides but I thought we channelled our aggression and discipline whereas they lost their heads a bit after going 3-0 down.

We were obviously delighted with the display but we have to keep a lid on it because if we lose on Saturday it will all be for nothing.

We'll be back in training tonight and Charlie will bring us back down to earth for what will be a huge game at Nuneaton on Saturday.

There will be a big crowd, 2,000-plus, and hopefully we can take a good following - the support at Atherstone was absolutely fantastic. I said in this column last week that we wanted to try to turn it into a home game and that's exactly what happened.

And the great thing for us is that the pressure will be on Nuneaton – they are at home so their crowd will be expecting them to win...
