Mixed feelings about our Southport point
It means that we have now picked up eight points in our last four games so we have to be relatively happy with that.
I guess it could have been more than two points.
I felt against Southport on Tuesday night that we were the better team and they will have gone home happy with a point.
The way we responded to going a goal down was fantastic and, after levelling, we could have gone onto win it.
It's just a bit of a shame that we couldn't sustain the first half performance.
It was a bit disappointing that we didn't seem to find our rhythm after the break.
It was a bit flat in the second half and we didn't get our passing and movement going.
But, all in all, we can't complain about a point.
The thing you don't want to do against the teams around you is lose after all.
You go into every game wanting to win, of course, but sometimes you can accept a point.
Tuesday's draw came on the back of the point at Solihull.
I felt we defended well during the game because they put in a lot of long throws and long balls into the box.
Then we snatched the goal and so, to concede in the 90th minute, was gutting really.
But, like I say, you have to look at the bigger picture and eight points from four games is a good return.
It's going to go down to the wire, we know that and now we are looking forward to Farsley on Saturday.
We have had a tough period of Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday recently.
You don't mind that because you take what is thrown up for you but it can be a tough period and now we have the chance to regroup, get people fresh and fit and push on until the end of the season.
