Town officials announced that the annual festival will feature music, street entertainment, carol singing, market stalls and a visit from Santa.
And there will even a manger complete with live donkey and small animals in the town centre.
Just before Santa arrives the Christmas tree in Market Square will be switched on to light the way for the festival parade.
"Rugeley will have Christmas trees at Eaton Lodge Island, Market Square and, by popular request, on the centre of Globe Island," a Rugeley Town Council spokesman said.
"Lights will adorn the town centre in preparation for the Rugeley Christmas season."
Father Christmas will again be with his reindeer and stalls will be selling 'Christmas goodies' and visitors will have the chance to win a tombola prize.
The annual event is expected to attract hundreds of people to the town centre, and follows on from the success of previous Christmas festivals.
"Everyone in Rugeley is looking forward to the traditional Christmas event," the spokesman added.
