Drugs raid at Pelsall pub leads to six arrests
The large-scale raid took place at The Queens Pub in High Street at 9pm on Friday, November 13.
Four men and two women were arrested after police executed a drugs warrant the pub.
Two of the men have been charged, one with possession of class B drugs, one for an offence under section 4 of the public order act and will appear at Walsall Magistrates Court on Thursday.
One woman was cautioned for possession of class A drugs.
The remaining three were arrested for possession of class A drugs and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Officers applied for the warrant under the misuse of drugs act, following information from the local community that The Queens Public House was a hotspot for drug related crime.
Inspector Lisa Robson from Bloxwich police station, said: "We are extremely pleased with the results of Friday's raid.
"We have listened to the concerns of our communities in Pelsall and have taken positive action, which has resulted in the arrest of six people.
"This sends out a clear message to our communities that we will do everything we can to act on their concerns and that drugs will not be tolerated in Pelsall.
"We will also be applying for a closure notice under the anti-social behaviour act 2003 to prevent any further misuse of drugs at the premises."
