Transport chief to visit Beechdale estate
Enraged residents of Murdock Way and surrounding roads have campaigned against the road widening - bringing with it increased noise pollution, safety fears and late night working disruptions.
Walsall North MP David Winnick has repeatedly contacted Graham Dalton, chief executive at the Highways Agency to visit the sites.
Mr Winnick said: "Since I visited the site in March I have sent letters to the cheif executive every week, sometimes more than that, and I am pleased he will finally be making a visit to the site.
"Although, it should have been a lot sooner.
"Householders have complained to be about over the way the work is being undertaken, including night work, and the excessive noise which make it impossible for people to sleep.
"Some improvements have undoubtedly occurred over this, and I am glad that Mr Dalton will hear first hand now the strong view of residents."
