IT was an afternoon to forget as Rushall Olympic's short spell as temporary leaders of the UniBond League First Division South came to an end, writes Darren Stockall .
The Pics slumped to an extremely disappointing home defeat against an equally uninspiring Shepshed Dynamo outfit in a dreadfully poor encounter at Dales Lane.
Neither side looked capable of breaking the deadlock until five minutes into the second period when Dynamo's Gokhan Ulker cut into the right corner of the Pics penalty area.
He fell spectacularly to the ground over the leading leg of Rushall skipper Niki Preston to yield a penalty kick for the visitors.
Chad Sheppard promptly sent Rushall keeper Chris Gemmell the wrong way from the 12-yard mark with a cool finish into the left side of goal.
The final whistle could not come quickly enough for the majority of the home support as bogey side Dynamo easily held out to complete a relatively straightforward double over their faltering hosts.
Former Rushall favourite Chad Sheppard came back to haunt the Pics as he netted the only goal of the game from the spot for Shepshed.
