Octagon is aim for tough guy Stone
Stone headlines an AMMA (Amateur Mixed Martial Arts) card at the Banks's Stadium against Welshman Chris Morgan for the organisation's welterweight crown next Saturday (March 13).
The Reedswood man is trained by UFC star Taylor in Cannock – and hopes the title fight will help him follow in his trainer's footsteps.
Stone, aged 23, who also trains at the Impact Thai Boxing gym in Birchills, said: "It's only my third MMA fight but I've had five Thai boxing bouts and I'm undefeated.
"It's the same rules as the UFC, except for no punches to the head when you are on the floor.
"This title fight is a big stepping stone for me and I'm lucky to have it so early.
"To win it would be a big thing but the UFC, that's the Holy Grail."
Doors open at 6.30pm with the action getting underway at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Andy on 07754 814627.
