Last-gasp winner a sickener for Willenhall
Willenhall Town 0
Loughborough Dynamo 1
WILLENHALL Town suffered late heartbreak as they continued their bid to haul themselves off bottom spot of the Unibond First Division South table.
With just one minute of injury time remaining on the clock, Loughborough stole all three points courtesy of a Kris Nurse tap-in.
In a tight game bereft of many clear cut opportunities, it looked for long periods as though Willenhall would be good enough to deserve a share of the spoils.
Loughborough had the first chance of the game, as Town goalkeeper Steve Jackson made a poor clearance.
The ball went straight to forward Alex Johnson, but his curling shot was saved by the recovering Jackson.
Willenhall came close themselves as Alex Roofe had a shot saved and Sam Wills followed up to fire the rebound over the bar.
Right on half-time, Anthony Boswell was only denied by a fine goal-line block by Dynamos' custodian Matt Nurse.
After the break, Loughborough began to exert heavier pressure as Nurse saw an effort stopped by Jackson, and Calum Ross couldn't find the right touch and failed to convert the rebound from close range.
Dynamo substitute Jamie Allen was the nearest to breaking the deadlock when he saw a low shot cleared off the line by Roofe.
It looked as though parity would remain when Jackson superbly turned round another effort on his goal.
But it wasn't to be as Nurse raced on to a blocked Noble shot to snatch the victory.
